Sigurista Parent Approved: Sulit Must-Haves For Your Newborn

November 17, 2021 0 Comments

Being a new parent is such an exciting time. Whether it’s your first baby, or your second or third, every newborn makes any parent feel like they are entering a new chapter in their lives. But with the excitement of this chapter comes worries and fears about making sure you are giving your baby everything he or she needs. Sigurista Parents like you can’t help but want only the best for your baby!

To help you get started, here are some of the items you need to invest in and stock up on as soon as possible. It will help make your baby’s first few months some of the best months of his or her life!

Drink up

One of the first decisions every parent has to make is how they will feed their baby. There is extensive research on the benefits of breastfeeding, so if you are going this route, it’s best you stock up on breast pumps, nursing pads, and nipple cream. If you’re going the bottle-feeding path, stock up on quality bottles and bottle brushes. There are also a bunch of sterilizers that you can look into to make the cleaning process easier for you!

Bath time is a fun time

For first-time parents, giving their tiny babies a bath can be daunting. To ease your fears, make sure you get shampoo and soap that are gentle on the baby’s skin, as well as soft towels to dry them off with. Invest in a bath seat or infant tub to lessen the chances of accidents in the bathroom.

Sweet dreams all night

Sleep training is becoming more popular among this generation of new parents. Not only will your baby have better sleep quality, so will you! Check out crib sheets and mattresses first, then extend your research to swaddles and hush machines. Soon you and your baby will wake up energized every morning!

My Little Princess

July 07, 2015 0 Comments

Hi guys! It's been so long that I haven't share some things about me or the people around me. I think after I resigned from my previous employer as an accounting staff and became a telemarketer at home for three months, since then I've been MIA and busy taking care of the kids. My husband and I have been jobless for three months and thanks God, my in laws supported us until his father helped him to work abroad. He went abroad last April, 2012 and before he left us, I told him that I was delayed. And we thought that it was really meant for him to go abroad for our bright future. After he left, I went to my OB for confirmation and yes, I was pregnant for exactly two months. It was indeed a big BLESSING! Here's our little angel, we named her Princess Aquisha.

Our little princess is now one year and seven months.  She is now exploring and very active. She is more than her eldest sister. More like she is talkative even we can't understand what she's saying, messy as in throwing the toys anywhere, bitchiness always comes around, she shouts and fight with her sister at her young age.
I gave birth last November 12, 2013 via Caesarean section. I personally chose the date because I want her to have the same birth number with mine. My pregnancy was as good as always just like my first. No complications at all. I didn't have morning sickness, it was really normal. But there were times that I feel dizzy and going to collapse when I was in a public place with lots of people around me such as church and market.

I regularly went to my OB for monthly check-up and took all my vitamins for my baby's good health and development. It was hard to be alone while you're pregnant and you're taking care of a stubborn kid at the same time. My Queen have been my source of happiness as time goes by, my headaches at times and my stress reliever when I feel so lonely because my husband was far away from us.
It doubles the joy when the baby came out and it also doubles the stress but it was all worth it. I never thought that I will be a mother of these two beautiful babies.

Motherhood really teaches me a lot. It's an everyday learning. I learned that that I need to be more patience in all times and love them deeply. Give them all the care they need and understand them in anyways. Keep them safe and sound. Teach them well and play with them. To sum it all, I want the best for them. The best that I haven't experience when I was a child.

Ok, I'll continue the drama for another post. 😉😁
Thank you guys for visiting and reading my dramas.;)

Queen @15th Months - Duplication, Biting, Climbing etc

July 25, 2012 0 Comments
My Queen @ 15th Months

What to expect as your toddler grows and develops new skills?
My baby is growing so fast these days: walking, running, talking a little, climbing, playing a lot, and even doing the things that might harm her like turning on and off the electric fan and unplugged the electric cords. She really need to supervise, but it's a lot more relaxed if sharp objects, breakables, plants, electric cords, wastepaper bins and other temptations are removed from reach. Things should really be kept to avoid your growing child to use, to break it or throw it. As I have observed, all things may be fascinating to my baby, when she sees me using them or I'm doing something, she wants to do the same.

A word "NO" became an expression and seems like she now understand what it means. When she doesn't want something like eating or to be carried by someone, she'll tell you "no,no,no!". She's kinda picky eater, too. Sweet viands and fried wouldn't be delicious for her. Any kind of soup with rice will make her tummy full. I pity her when there's no soup cooked the whole day, so I make sure to give her lots of milk which is her support to a healthy living because her milk Lactum gives the nutrients from the food pyramid.

What makes me more happy when my baby is around? Well, when there's a group of people in front of her or beside her and they laugh for something, Queen also laugh as if she knows what's happening until she became the center of attention.

How she's likely to respond to different situations, people, places and things will help you to understand her needs. Sometimes it's hard to understand what she wants because she's not yet speaking straight words and what she does is to bite to express her feelings towards you. She also cry to make you feel that she needs an attention and shout to say no.

I always remember as a mother, she's depending on me to make her feel comfortable and help her develop to her fullest potential.

Queen's Age - 14 Months Old

June 20, 2012 0 Comments
What do you expect from a 14th months old baby? As a mother, I used to type all the improvements or should I say developments of my growing child here in my blog. My baby girl, Queen Sophia. She's now 14 months old - one year, two months and 19 days to be exact. :) I'm so happy to tell you guys that my baby is now walking, running and going anywhere she wants. In other words, super active!
At her age, I know we need a lot more patience. I admit that when I'm with my baby, I'm tempted to spank her just to stop her. Slight only. I'm still in control. I don't wanna see her crying, you know. She might get in trauma. I don't like it to happen. I love her so much more than myself. Anyway, since my baby learned how to walk, she also became a dramatic actress. Future drama Queen.:) She knows how to cry without tears, meaning she's doing it to get an attention.

At her age now, I'm so happy to see that she suited in her current milk, my trusted Lactum 1-3 plain and chocolate flavor.  It has the essential nutrients from the food pyramid that's why even if my baby doesn't want to eat rice with viands, veggies and fruits, I'm still a Peaceful Mom like Juday (Judy Ann Santos, an actress) and other moms out there who's giving Lactum also to their child.

lactum plain & choco
I've been giving Queen Lactum milk supplement for two and a half months already. She gained weight unlike before she turns one.Thank God for giving me a healthy baby, active and smart. She's a future singer and dancer at the same time as I've observed. She has a favorite TV commercial that every time she hears and watch, she always dance with the tune. How much more if she can speak straight already? I think she'll be a good singer like me. Wow! She learns a lot now and more to come.
I am really a Proud Mommy of Queen!

I hate it when I see you crying

June 14, 2012 0 Comments

I hate it when I see you crying. I also cry. I hate it when somebody hurt you. I am more hurt than anyone else. My heart is breaking. I keep asking myself, "how will I restrain you from hurting and crying?" . I wanna blame the situation, I'm a working Mom and I have yet no choice not to leave you my little one. I wanna be there for you every hour, every minute and every seconds of  the day. In God's time, I'll make it up to you baby. I promise, time will come you won't see me leaving for work. I'll make sure to take good care of you, hug you so tight, kiss you so tender and play like there's no tomorrow.

Every time I see you got wounds or lump, I want to shout at them, blame them, blame myself for not being there beside you always to watch over you, scold them but it isn't proper. I'd become so rude and no debt of gratitude. I am not like that. I'm still thankful for their support. I know they don't even like what had happened to you. I hope you understand that those things are part of growing up. I do understand too.
I am still your mother hoping to stay beside you always. I wanna see every smile, giggle, yawn, loud laugh of you and how you sleep. I wanna see every step you take while holding my hands. I want to play with you and keep your scattered toys. I want to read books for you and teach you to read, too.
I hope I could do it all for you.
I love you so much baby Queen!

Baby Queen Turned 10 Months

February 04, 2012 0 Comments

Happy 10th months day my baby Queen!

Last February 1, 2012, she turned 10 months old. WOoooW! She's a big girl now. Two months to go,
she's turning 1 year old.
Look at her, I think she's photogenic. She knows now how to pose in the camera.
I love her dress because of the black floral design. It suited her skin complexion.
Anyways, I would like to share to you her improvements, learnings and attitude.
As you can see at the picture, my Queen started to be mischievous by showing her tongue.
It's funny, you know!? I've been teaching her for so long, but then she cannot get it that easy.
I'm so proud that now she know how to do it when we tell her show your tongue. One more thing that she cannot learned is to "close-open" her hands. But I'm sure there's a time for it.
My Queen can now also stand alone but she really need your full attention to avoid falling and bumping in a hard object. She's doing it again and again...So naughty baby, seems like full of energy even if she's so sleepy.
If she saw something or any thing, she'll do her best to pick it up or throw it. Aside from that, she knows how to cry so to do what she wants and go to where she wants to.
I understand, she's still a baby so I have a long patient in taking care of her. A few days, weeks or months from now, she will learn how to walk, speak more words and run. I'm excited and at the same time kinda worried because I know she'll be more frisky. (restless, naughty, mischievous). I hope I can still handle it. As her mommy, I'll be more patient, too. I'll make up the lost time I'm not with her.
I'll teach her to be a good girl, smart and be religious, as well.

I may not be the best mother but I make sure to love my baby with all my heart. I won't let her experience life full of difficulties. That's why, me and her Dad doing our best and working so hard to do our Royale Business.

Happy New Year and Happy 9th Months Day Baby Queen!

January 04, 2012 0 Comments

My baby Queen wearing her Aunt Rochelle's gift
 on Christmas Day.
A pink blouse with sleeve and pink leggings
fitted to her thighs and legs
with also the gold shoes from
her Mamita Iluminada, paired with pink socks.

This was also the day we were celebrating
Queen's 9th months day.
We, Mitch & Niño, proud parents of Queen
were very glad to see that our baby is
learning to stand up on her own.
She's not yet successful doing it because it's
kinda complicated, she might get hurt specially
if there's no one will look after her.
We haven't yet buy her a crib.
I would love to buy her but sadly,
i really don't have a budget for it.:)

Anyways, so happy that now my baby can sit alone.
No need for support. Then, she became more
noisy, talkative and likes to repeat what you're doing.
And she loves dancing to the tune of
Super Bass by Nicki Minaj.

We went to one of our Godparents house and we let our baby sit
at their small rocking chair. She really had fun.
And because I'm busy taking photos of my Queen and her Daddy,
I forgot to capture mine with them my lovely loves.

This was taken in our house @ the terrace.

 I love my baby's smile here.^^

New Year's Eve, my baby was still sleepy.
But I'm proud that she's so brave and didn't cry
during the fireworks display.
I know some babies get frightened of the sounds
of the fireworks but my baby didn't.

Sorry for this blurred photo. I'm only using my phone. I
badly needed a digital camera.. haha
I hope someone with a good heart give me any brand
of camera. I wish, wish, wish!

(thanks to her Aunt Monica for the cute,
small cake but yummy one)

Each moment in a day has its own value. Morning brings HOPE, Afternoon brings FAITH, Evening brings LOVE, Night brings REST, Hope you will have all of them everyday.

Happy New Year To All!:)
I hope this year will be much, much better year for us.
May our baby continue to have a good health together with our family and friends.

Welcome 2012!

Happy Christmas Day with our Queen!

December 29, 2011 2 Comments

This is our Queen @ Christmas Day 2011!
She's wearing a simple violet dress in a crumpled style.
I suited her dress color with her headband color violet too with a yellow flower in it.
It was an early Christmas gift from her Aunt/Godmother  Monica (my sister).

She enjoyed riding in a stuff toy dog given by her Aunt Trizzle, the gf of her Uncle Carlo. That toy is for Sam their golden retriever dog... hehehe

 with Daddy, just emoting.:)
After Christmas, the following day we went to SM Baliuag to buy Queen a new feeding bottle and some stuff.
We spent the "christmas presents" just for her needs.

We made our Queen very happy during this mall shopping.
I've seen her very busy looking at the things in her surroundings.
She's very amazed and smiling so big when we let her touch some things inside the mall
specially the toys and some baby stuff.
I hope I can give her all that things but I'm sure there will come a time we will.

Our Family Picture for Christmas 2011.

The gifts that Queen received from her Godparents;
And some from her Aunts and Uncles.
(the money she received is not included)

Merry Christmas and may God's grace be with you.
Make merry not just on this wonderful holiday but all through the year....

May each and everyone of us welcome the year 2012 with hope in our hearts that this coming year will be much, much better. May we have a Blessed and Prosperous New Year..
